    Private cellar

On the slopes of the Méjanelle where the vines have been growing in sandstone pebbles for over 2000 years, the Delbez family carries on the family wine-growing tradition of Château de Calage, an estate of 14 hectares. The family has opted for organic farming, replacing any chemicals used on the vines with sulphur and copper (Bordeaux mixture), just like their ancestors.
As the seasons progress, they carry out the necessary tasks: pruning, tillage, protective measures, observing the vines, tasting the grapes and preparing the winery for the harvest period.
Once the harvest is in, they process the must and taste the juice.
Months later, they blend the various grape varieties to create new wines.
